Play Arts KAI Batman Quick Review

If you were an authentic real Batman fan, you must be able to obtain two newest figurine from one of world's coolest action figure series "Play Arts KAI released by Square Enix". I got both recent two weeks. Why separately ? Well, because Batman was such a smash hit and hard to find it at any stores in Tokyo on the other hand Joker was easy to find. I got this Batman by internet auction. So I want to ask you guys real Batman fans, are you guys really able to be satisfied by both's quality ?? I imagine there're a few different point of opinions... Yeah, especially about the retail price. I don't know about US market price but both of 'em are priced approx US$77.00 in Japan. Do you guys think it's appropriate ? Again, there were supposed to be different opinions. I owe some DC direct released action figures. I can easily compared this Play Arts KAI version Batman & Joker with DC direct's. Well, not to say, about the sculpting and painting quality (also volume of articulation points), Play Arts KAI were astonishingly excellent than DC direct. However again, the price... So my question is this, which one are you gonna possibly chose US$15.00 as nice painting & fair quality scripting or US$77.00 as same size unbeatable quality ?? You might be able to chose by below my review...

ブログ更新をサボっている間にも続々と新しいトイを購入していたのでまったりと紹介していきたいと思います。

今日明日で先日発売されたばかりのスクウェアエニックスのプレイアーツ改のバットマンとジョーカーのレビューをしたいと思います。

まずはバットマンから。

バットマンは実はヤフオクで購入しました。というのも秋葉原含め東京の店では売り切れ続出で買えなかったので。これはこのバットマンのプレイアーツ改が特別人気なのではなくて、各店とも在庫を少なめに発注していて、フタを開けたら意外と売れたので品切れ状態になってしまった、というのが実情だと推測されます。というのも今の日本の市場でバットマン関連のフィギュアなんて絶対売れませんからね。まあその一方で明日紹介するジョーカーは割と売れ残っていたりしたわけなんですが。あっ、ちなみに私はアメコミを原文で楽しむ本物のバットマンファンなので、日本での人気の無さなど無視して集めていますがね。

さて肝心のフィギュア本体の感想なんですが、うーむ、アマゾンのカスタマーレビューなんかではさんざん酷評されていたのでちょっと心配ではあったのですが、なんというか造形とペイントは確かに素晴らしいのですが、価格とツリ合わないな、という気がします。1体6,000円ですからね、20cm程度の一般サイズのアクションフィギュアというジャンルでは高すぎですよね。私は本場アメリカのDCダイレクトの同じ作品「アーカム・シティー」のフィギュアシリーズを持っているので比較できますが、まあクオリティは比較するまでも無くプレイアーツの方が良いのですが、正直DCダイレクトのクオリティでも十分鑑賞には堪えます。それで値段が約五分の一ですからね、アメリカのトイショーなどでこれが発表された時、結構現地では話題になったのですが、この価格設定では期待したほどの売れ行きは見込めそうにないと思います。

あとはプレイアーツ改自体の期待値がどうしても高くなってしまうので、その期待よりはちょっと軟弱なデキかなと。特に全く動かない足首と、全くポージングの自由度が無いマント、これは結構キツい。それと付属品がバットラングとグラップリングランチャーのみというのも、やや物足りないか…。
